| Rudrakasha What is in the word? |
| Contemplation and Concentration are a Person's Power over their own mind. To make friends with this power and practice this power in your life can be obtained thru Japa. Repetition of the mantra. Rudrakasha is a great help in this endeavor which takes courage and fearlessness. |
RUDRA: “Controller of terrific powers;” or “red, shining one.” The name of Shiva as the God of dissolution, the universal force of reabsorption. Rudra-Shiva is revered both as the “terrifying one” and the “lord of tears,” for He wields and controls terrific powers. AKASHA: “Space.” The sky. Free, open space. Ether, the fifth and most subtle of the five elements—earth, air, fire, water, and ether. AH KA THA - the triangle in the full moon of the thousand petaled lotus of the sahasrara. It is the rarefied space or ethereal fluid plasma that pervades the universe, inner and outer. It's fluid is like subtle moonlight. This subtle energy flows like a river of love into the mind, creating a bridge in the superconscious strata. Here is held all that potentially or actually exists, wherein all transactions are recorded and can be read by clairvoyants. It is through psychic entry into this transcendental “askasha” that cosmic knowledge is gathered, and the entire circle of time—past, present, and future-can be known. Rudrakasha: Contemplation and concentration is a person's power over their own minds. A person uses their mind to work through all of life's problems. The nadis (energy channels)of ones own self hold all the seeds of unstruck karma from many lifetimes. To access this karma and burn these seeds is to purify oneself and should be likened to transcending yourself through contemplation, meditation, and repetition of your mantra (which helps you gain access to this place (AH KA THA). Meditation is the wisdom and freedom of expanded consciousness. The point of conception is the fulcrum of all creation, the absorption and reabsorbtion of life, truth, and consciousness. Name (Nama) and the Object (Rupa) are inseparable. Thought and word are inseparable. It is said that in this age, an auspicious form of concentration and meditation is to repeat your guru given mantra. Japa (repetition of your mantra) is a mysterious but tangible way to become identified in that which is God. You become the name and the name becomes you. Eventually, the meditation that is japa (repetition of your mantra) becomes dhyana with Japa. As you repeat and repeat the name, you become the name and japa drops itself. There are several elements that hold the shakti (energy) of the japa the best. They are rudrakasha beads, crystal, amethyst, coral, pearl, and amber. It is said that repletion of the mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” is 1 million times more powerful, through the grace of Rudra, than saying your mantra without the Rudrakasha mala (rosaries). So you can understand why the Rudrakasha Bead has been revered and used for all the ages by saints, seekers, and meditator's. It should be noted that you must be fearless and brave to attempt this work on yourself and willing to look inside at your shortcomings and issues with courage. Be willing to let things go. Be willing to let the mantras purify you. Let yourself be shattered by Rudra. Let the grace of your lineage flow like a river of light into your being. |

| What is Mantra? Mantra is the remembering of the seed sounds of this universe. By the constant thinking and remembering of this sound. The inherent energy (or shakti) of this sound becomes enlivened with all the energy of all the persons who ever repeated it and who ever became one with god using it. There are mantras that are imbued with the spiritual energy of the lineage of all the teachers who used it. These are called chaitanya mantras as the very words and infused with the matrika of all the enlived beings who used them. The matrika is a key to the lock that gains access to the inner realms of transcendental experience or darshan of the inner guru. The vibrations of the mantra are a river to carry a seeker into the inner networking realms of consciousness. Mantra is vital to spiritual growth and evolution. |
